she flew into the night weeping for all that was. she was not yet sure what could be.
12.10.15. A day that marks the universal declaration of human rights. we have so far left to go before we can say that human rights are respected.

sometimes grief looks like this

sometimes grief sneaks into the layers of light surrounding you. it comes in waves, wrapping the darkness with a bittersweet nostalgia. even when it grabs hold, invite it gently to sit awhile with you, offer it a warm cup of tea. become friends. listen intently to the story it tells. when you have offered the compassion that it needs, grief will give you one last tearful hug, and float off into the world until the next time
